I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor's in Health Education and Promotion. I completed my Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky, specializing in psychotherapy and clinical practice.

I’ve previously worked with teenagers in residential mental health settings, done crisis intervention with survivors of sexual assault, led support groups for people with PTSD, and coached individuals suffering from chronic health conditions.  I'm trained and certified in yoga, massage therapy, and East Indian Ayurvedic medicine, and I have an extensive background in contemplative practice and meditation.

I utilize a psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and trauma-sensitive approach informed by research-based methods including Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Inner Relationship Focusing (IRF).

I engage in ongoing professional development, including weekly supervision with experts in the field, and stay current with the latest research on the impact of mental health across the lifespan.

When I’m not working, I enjoy playing guitar, cooking, photography, physical activity, travel, and anything mildly competitive.

I promote equal rights for all people and acknowledge the role that power and privilege play in all relationships, as well as how these considerations have shaped my personal experiences.
